About This Project

GBSR operates on three layers: (1) Universal DNA Synthesis Screening — all commercial gene synthesis orders globally are screened against an expanding dangerous sequence database before fulfillment. Participation mandatory for all synthesis providers serving customers in treaty nations. (2) Global Biosecurity Registry — all high-risk pathogen research registered with an international body (modeled on IAEA safeguards), with mandatory reporting of experiments involving enhanced transmissibility, virulence, or immune evasion. (3) BWC Verification Protocol — negotiate a legally binding verification annex to the BWC, including on-site inspection rights and a standing technical secretariat with biosecurity expertise. Together these three layers create detection at synthesis, transparency in research, and accountability in state compliance.
