About This Project

Strengthen sustainable aquaculture standards and create market access incentives for certified production. The initiative would: harmonize the fragmented ASC, Best Aquaculture Practices, and GlobalG.A.P. standards into a unified tiered certification framework; establish public procurement requirements for certified aquaculture products in G20 countries; create a $3 billion aquaculture transition fund for small-scale producers in developing countries to achieve certification; and fund alternative aquafeed development to reduce dependency on wild fish.
