About This Project

Establish a binding international framework governing solar geoengineering research, establishing: mandatory notification and impact assessment requirements for field experiments above defined thresholds; a Global Geoengineering Assessment Commission with independent scientific oversight; prohibition on unilateral deployment without international consent; equitable participation requirements in research governance; and a joint research fund ensuring developing country scientists participate in research design.
