About This Project

Launch a targeted initiative to eliminate post-harvest food losses for smallholder farmers in tropical developing countries through affordable hermetic storage, solar-powered cooling, and market linkage improvements. The initiative would subsidize hermetic storage bags and small-scale metal silos for 100 million smallholder households, provide solar cold chain infrastructure for perishable crops, and develop digital market platforms connecting farmers directly to buyers, reducing spoilage from market uncertainty.
