About This Project

Launch a coordinated international action plan to eliminate non-therapeutic antibiotic use in food animal production by 2035, with systematic surveillance, enforcement, and alternative development components. The plan would include: binding phase-out schedules for growth promoter antibiotics; global AMR surveillance network integrating livestock, food processing, and human clinical data; $2 billion research fund for non-antibiotic growth promotion alternatives; and trade measures linking agricultural product market access to AMR stewardship standards.
